The Global Commercial Director will be a key member of the Breast Cancer Franchise, and will be integral to our collective efforts towards transforming care for cancer patients globally. This strategic role, reporting into the Global Commercial Head, will be accountable for shaping and delivering the global strategy for several indications driving significant growth across regions. The Global Commercial Director will closely partner with key global country and regional leads based in the US, Europe, Asia as well as wide range of headquarter functions. This position is based in Gaithersburg, MD (USA) and requires three days a week onsite presence. Typical Accountabilities | Job Responsibilities Lead global strategy Lead the creation, execution and continuous refinement of the commercial brand strategy for key indications in HER2+ metastatic breast cancer, ensuring robust lifecycle management from prelaunch through postlaunch. Achieve clear differentiation and competitive positioning vs emerging and established players Own commercial leadership Own global commercial leadership of a critical launch for the brand, ensuring sustained performance and delivery against strategic and financial objectives. Act as indication lead in senior forums, communicating commercial performance, financial outlooks and investment trade-offs to senior executives and governance committees. Deliver launch excellence As a key member of the Integrated Brand Teams, partner with Regional and Country teams to set clear priorities, drive accountability and ensure coordinated delivery across functions and deliver launch excellence. Deliver marketing strategies that set up successful launches and maintain strong postlaunch momentum. Partner across functions and markets Collaborate with global cross functional teams including Medical Affairs, Insights and Analytics, and Market Access to deliver the global ambition and ensure alignment Engage regional and key market stakeholders to drive launch readiness, build capabilities and ensure effective deployment of global and local budgets Partner effectively with cross-functional Alliance colleagues to co-develop strategy and launch plans Drive performance and business impact Lead all aspects of postlaunch performance by monitoring uptake, access and executional efficiency, initiating data-driven course corrections and reallocating resources where needed Hold global budget accountability for key indications, including development of the annual operating plan, budget phasing, investment prioritisation Maximize value throughout the lifecycle Maximize value across pre-launch, launch and in-line phases, across regions Represent and articulate the commercial and marketing strategic vision for key indications within the Global Product Team (GPT), influencing critical decisions and trade-offs. Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialization, including at least 5 years in marketing, strategy, or life sciences consulting. Strong Oncology background, having worked in multiple commercial roles for a large/mid-sized pharmaceutical company to drive launch and in-line performance Proven track record in global brand strategy and launch execution Strong strategic thinking, judgment, and influencing skills to lead across regions and markets with clear financial accountability Robust business acumen (forecasting, insights, competition) and problem solving skills Strong experience in pre-launch and in-line brand management Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix environment and influence without authority Experience working with cross-functional teams (Medical, Access, Insights, etc.) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable MBA in relevant field Sales/Customer-facing experience Management experience Successfully launched brands at a global level Experience working in Breast Cancer Experience working in a commercial alliance/partnership environment The annual base pay for this position ranges from 231,988.80 - 347,983.20 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
