The successful candidate will serve as the station's primary news voice while overseeing the overall direction of WMOA's news coverage. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys developing story ideas, conducting interviews, writing and producing newscasts, and building relationships throughout the communities we serve. Participate as an on-air contributor during the station's morning show. Prepare production for the daily sports segments. Monitor station operations and assist in maintaining reliable on-air performance during assigned shifts. Qualifications Previous experience in broadcast journalism, radio news, or a related field preferred. Strong writing, reporting, and interviewing skills. Clear and professional on-air delivery. Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments. Strong news judgment and attention to detail. Familiarity with audio editing and broadcast production software. Knowledge of local issues and community affairs is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. What We're Looking For The News Director at WMOA is both a leader and a working journalist. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in every aspect of local news—from identifying stories and conducting interviews to writing copy and delivering reports on the air.
