Job Description

Responsible for processes associated with bids, proposals, and other relevant commercial activities for Seadrill's Commercial function to support its offshore drilling projects for clients in the international energy industry Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing plus three (3) years of drilling industry experience with commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of offshore drilling including three (3) years of experience coordinating marketing aspects of several drilling projects simultaneously while working with multiple stakeholders at different levels and client counterparts.

Responsible for processes associated with bids, proposals, and other relevant commercial activities for Seadrill's Commercial function to support its offshore drilling projects for clients in the international energy industry. Manage the development of commercial opportunities and ensure assumptions are robust and accurate, prior to such opportunities being recommended to Senior Management. Work with tenders from receipt to submission, managing all activities and interacting with different stakeholders in and outside the Commercial department to ensure a concise, accurate and efficient tender delivery. Manage the development of comprehensive and compelling proposals, bids, and tender responses and facilitate the end-to-end bid process for quality and compliance. Coordinate and collaborate with various functions, including operations, engineering, legal, tax, finance, supply chain, human resources, and marketing to review contractual documents to identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and project risks; analyze client, regulatory, technical, and geographical requirements to tailor proposals for a winning offer; and develop accurate and competitive cost estimates. Responsible for inputs from engineering, operations, tax, finance, HR, supply chain, and commercial to ascertain operational costs and capital upgrades needed for developing an economic profile of a deal (BAS) and recommendations of solutions that help achieve our quest to optimize financial returns. Participate in contract negotiations with customers to reconcile the technical and commercial positions offered and reach mutually agreeable terms and conditions. Oversee quality control process to reinforce professionalism, enhance credibility, and ensure accuracy and completeness of tender deliverables. Support improvements in the tendering process and lead the implementation of new processes to support design changes by influencing key stakeholders to align and gain buy-in on new processes prior to their implementation. Facilitate the preparation of the company's Contract Approval Form (CAF) for functions endorsements and Senior Management consent for contract signature. Coordinate the preparation of the company's Board Memo request for approval for consent to proceed with contract signature and participate in board or sub-board meetings to help rationalize the risks and returns of a deal and obtain necessary endorsements. Support business development and opportunities as required by the Business Development team.
