About the Role The College of Theatre and Performing Arts at RUA is seeking an experienced academicleader to shape and lead its academic strategy, programs, and partnerships. Reporting to the Dean, this role will play a central part inestablishing a high-quality, future-focused performing arts college, with a strong emphasis on teaching excellence, industry engagement, andinterdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of academic programs,including education and research strategy Ensure alignment of academic plans with School Board guidance and institutionalpriorities Oversee academic performance and provide strategic direction for the college Advance teaching, research,and interdisciplinary initiatives Build and strengthen partnerships with industry and the wider community Academic Leadership Develop innovative programs that prepare students for sustainable careers Ensureacademic rigor, quality assurance, and accreditation compliance Lead faculty planning and staffing Strengthen studentexperience and industry engagement opportunities Contribute to teaching on a limited basis, where appropriate, to support programdelivery and maintain engagement with students Operations and Management Oversee academic operations,faculty recruitment, and professional development Manage resources and budgets effectively Support student recruitmentand outreach in collaboration with relevant teams Ideal Experience and Skills 15+ years in senioracademic roles within performing arts or related fields Advanced degree required; PhD preferred Internationalrecognition in academic and/or professional practice Proven leadership in academic strategy, teaching quality, and researchactivity Experience building partnerships and working across diverse stakeholders Strong communication andrelationship-building skills Compensation and Benefits The University offers a competitive, tax-freecompensation package in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The package includes a base salary, housing allowance, education allowance (whereapplicable), and relocation support, along with additional benefits in line with University policy and international best practices.
