Job Description

About us nomnomnom is a food delivery app launching in Orange County, CA this Fall 2026. We charge restaurants 12% commission instead of the 25-30% the big apps take, and we don't inflate menu prices. We're a small team building something for local independent restaurants, and we need someone to make their food look as good as it tastes. What you'll do We send you to a local restaurant. You shoot their food. That's the job.
For each restaurant:
Photograph the full menu — every dish, clean and consistent, shot to look great on a phone screen Two short vertical videos of food being prepared — the sear, the pour, the plating. 15-30 seconds each, optimized for TikTok and Instagram Reels Interior and exterior shots of the restaurant so we can build their profile A portrait or candid of the owner or chef — we feature the people behind the food Deliver within 48 hours , organized and consistently named You'll coordinate directly with the restaurant to schedule. Most shoots happen between 2-4 PM on weekdays when kitchens are slow, some may happen during the weekend. What we're looking for Your own camera and lenses (mirrorless or DSLR) and basic lighting; shooting with iPhone is also an option Reliable transportation — you'll be traveling around Orange County Comfortable editing in Lightroom, Premiere, CapCut, or similar Can direct yourself in someone else's kitchen without getting in the way Reliable with deadlines — restaurants go live on our app once your photos and video land Food photography experience is a plus but not required. If you shoot well and learn fast, we'll work with you. We care more about your eye and your reliability than your résumé. If you do not have food related content on your portfolio, we will require a test as a step two in the interview process. What's in it for you Real client work for your portfolio — 30+ restaurants over the next few months, all yours to show Credit — we tag you when we post your work Flexible scheduling — you pick your shoot days A reference from a founding team, and a front-row seat to one of the biggest startup launches disrupting the food tech industry Restaurants keep your photos too — your work ends up on their websites and social, not just ours This is ongoing, not a one-time gig. If it works out, it works out for a long time!
