Senior Photonics IC Design Engineer Apply Save Job Category Chip Design Location Irvine, CA Experience More than 4 Years Work Expe. Job Description
  • Design, simulate and test various building blocks for photonic ICs such as modulators, filters, and detectors.
  • Develop mathematical models of photonic components for co-simulation with electronic circuits.
  • Contribute to the integration and testing of Photonic & Electronic ICs, collaborate with cross functional teams to improve system performance and optimize designs.
  • Must be proficient in programming (e.g. Python or MATLAB) for design automation Main Requirements and Qualifications
  • Candidates with proven track record of photonics design experience are preferred. Should have PhD in EE or Physics related field, or M.S. with 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of optical transceiver design and system level requirements.
  • Proficient in the design, layout, and simulation of photonic devices.
  • Proficient with Cadence design environment and mixed-signal simulation.
  • Able to assume responsibility for a variety of technical tasks and to work independently.
  • Excellent working attitude and good interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary range:
$150,000- $255,000 Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
