Job Description
Freelance Photo / Lighting Assistant (1099 Contractor)•
San Francisco, Bay Area Overview:
Seeking a reliable, detail-oriented freelance Photo / Lighting Assistant on an as-needed project basis for location and studio shoots.Responsibilities:
- Load in, set up, adjust, and strike lighting equipment (strobes/continuous lights, modifiers, C-stands, scrims, sandbags).
- Assist with camera support gear (tripods, sliders, monitors, tethering setups).
- Manage lighting positioning and adjustments during active shoots.
- Maintain clean, organized gear staging and ensure safety on set.
Requirements:
- Hands-on familiarity with grip, stands, modifiers, and standard studio/location lighting.
- Punctual, proactive, and able to lift up to 50 lbs of gear.
- Reliable transportation to shoot locations.
- Professional demeanor on set around clients.
Rate :
$250- 750 per day depending upon time on site (1099 contractor status).
Pay:
$250.00- $750.
