We're passionate about putting instruments into the hands of students and musicians while building strong relationships with local schools, band directors, and families. We're looking for a Band Specialist to help us expand our band and orchestra programs and support music education in the region. Position Overview We're hiring a Band Specialist who loves music education and wants to make a real difference in our local school music programs. This role combines sales, customer service, inventory management, online listing, and community outreach. If you play a band instrument, enjoy working with schools and students, and are comfortable with some travel, this could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the General Manager to maintain and grow our band & orchestra inventory (brass, woodwinds, percussion, etc.). Help list band & orchestra products online and promote our store through social media. Reach out to band directors, music teachers, and schools to build relationships and promote our rental and sales programs. Travel to local schools for instrument rentals, deliveries, pickups, and demonstrations. Sell band and orchestra instruments both in-store and through school outreach. Assist with instrument repairs/setup, rentals processing, and customer service for school accounts. Help organize and support school-related events, recitals, and promotions. Maintain accurate records for inventory, rentals, and school accounts. Requirements Experience playing a band or orchestra instrument. Reliable personal vehicle with valid driver's license and clean driving record (mileage reimbursement provided). Comfortable with some local travel (primarily within the eastern Idaho region). Outgoing personality with strong communication skills, you'll be working directly with teachers, parents, and students. Basic computer skills (inventory systems, email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace). Passion for music education and helping young musicians succeed.
