General Duties
To capture high-quality photographs that document and promote school events, programs, activities, achievements, and daily school life for use in district publications, social media, websites, yearbooks, newsletters, and other communication platforms.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Photograph school-related events, activities, programs, ceremonies, athletic events, performances, and other functions as assigned. Capture candid and posed photographs of students, staff, classrooms, and school activities that positively represent the school district. Edit, organize, and maintain digital photo files in an efficient and accessible manner. Ensure photographs meet district standards for quality, professionalism, and appropriateness. Coordinate with school administrators, staff, coaches, and event sponsors regarding photography needs and schedules. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies regarding student privacy, media releases, and acceptable use of images. Upload and distribute photographs for use in district communication platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, and promotional materials. Assist with the creation and maintenance of digital archives of school events and activities. Maintain photography equipment and report equipment repair or replacement needs. Attend evening and weekend events as required. Support district communication and public relations efforts through visual storytelling. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in photography, digital media, journalism, communications, or a related field preferred. Experience photographing events, sports, or school activities preferred. Knowledge of photography techniques, composition, lighting, and photo editing. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a school setting.
