Location:
Jeffersontown, KY with some travel (must have reliable transportation) About the Role We're looking for a creative, detail‐oriented assistant to join a growing photo and video business. This role combines creativity, organization, and hands‐on execution. You'll assist on shoots, edit photo and video content, create social media materials, and take on independent projects as you gain experience. You'll work directly with a professional photographer / videographer. This position is perfect for someone serious about building a career in content creation and visual media or supplementing the work they already have. Key Responsibilities Assist on photo and video shoots including construction sites, architectural projects, events, and corporate shoots. Learn to manage shoots independently over time Direct and pose people in front of the camera when needed Cull, organize, edit, and manage video and photo files Create and post content for social media on behalf of the business Prepare and maintain equipment (battery charging, organizing gear, downloading files from cards) Travel to photo/video shoots (travel expenses compensated) Maintain a flexible schedule with some evening and weekend work Priority Skills & Experience Video and video editing experience is the top priority — applicants with strong editing, storytelling, and technical ability in Premiere Pro or similar software will stand out. Portrait and event photography/videography experience is the second most important skillset. Comfort directing, posing, and managing lighting or people is key. Strong understanding of visual composition, client interaction, and attention to detail across all creative tasks. Equipment All professional equipment will be provided to complete the job Work Location Editing work will be completed at our office in Jeffersontown at 11492 Bluegrass Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40299. Content creation work will be completed at client locations throughout the region. Physical Requirements Able to carry up to 50 lbs of gear upstairs and through construction sites. Able to stand for up to 8 hours with a 30‐minute lunch break. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varied environments. Qualifications Highly detail‐oriented, organized, and proactive Positive attitude and open to critique Willing to adapt shooting and editing style to match client and brand standards Creative thinker and problem solver with professional communication skills Reliable transportation and consistent availability Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Strong skills in Premiere or Similar Program Willingness to pursue FAA Part 107 drone certification Growth Objectives & Professional Development Contribute to
