Shooting and editing high-volume product photography is standard in this role. You must have deep technical photography and lighting experience, a sharp eye for detail, and hands-on familiarity with hand tools to capture the ideal shots of the products' main features and uses. Video shooting and editing experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Execute high-volume product photography in Tekton's in-house studio for use across Tekton.com, internal applications, and print catalogs, maintaining strict consistency in lighting, angles, and style Identify and capture the key angles and details that best communicate each tool's function, texture, material, scale, shape, and intended use Have a good understanding of the proper lenses and lighting for each shot Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in capturing standardized front, side, top, bottom, and perspective views, ensuring every product is shot to a repeatable, brand-approved specification Apply advanced techniques including focus stacking, light bouncing, and color card usage to produce sharp imagery that accurately represents the product Retouch, color correct, and process raw files in Photoshop, preparing final images to specifications for Tekton.com and other ecommerce platforms Maintain an organized archive of image files and upload final assets to website platforms Maintain and add to our photography equipment as necessary Use other creative skills like graphic design to create digital and physical assets Establish local connections with our users in order to capture real examples of our tools ideal uses Order and manage product samples through the entire photo process Capture a variety of product materials and finishes such as high-gloss plastics, textured plastics, rubber, high-visibility fabric, foam, black steel, satin chrome, satin nickel, and mirror chrome finishes. Create videos that demonstrate the functions and features of our products, highlight our processes, and showcase professionals who use Tekton in their work Edit video content including color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and captioning Indicators of a good match for this role You have exceptional values including honesty, integrity, and empathy You are aligned with Tekton's philosophy, ways of thinking, methods of work, and brand style You can adapt to changing priorities and pivot without hesitation You regularly learn new things about hand tools You come prepared to lead or participate in meetings You are bold and take action on projects with minimal supervision and direction You think like a mechanic and use hand tools in your personal life You welcome feedback and can separate personal preferences from brand guidelines You are eager to learn new skills and adapt to changing needs related to your work You are able to manage several projects at once Baseline qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in a professional ecommerce studio photography environment Competent with studio lighting, Sony camera equipment, lenses, tethering, Lightroom, Capture One, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop Experience shooting and editing video content Highly organized with the ability to manage large volumes of assets and maintain consistent file naming and archiving standards Have a deep understanding and experience with hand tools in order to capture the key functions and moments of a specific tool A background in photography, videography, graphic design, visual marketing, mechanical work, or related fields Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced professional environment Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Pay Range $55,000 - $75,000 per year Benefits package Full-time employees receive health, dental, vision, life, hospital indemnity, and long-term disability insurance; paid time off; a 401(k) program; and tuition reimbursement. In particular, this department works together to develop graphical presentations, take photography, write content, and coordinate new product launches.
