Job Description
Muskegon Catholic Central is seeking a dynamic leader to guide the Crusader Sideline Cheer program and drive school spirit throughout our community. This is an opportunity to lead from the front, set the tone, and build a team that supports MCC athletics with passion, precision, and purpose every time they step on the sideline. At MCC, athletics are an extension of our mission—forming young women and men of faith, character, and purpose. Our next sideline cheer coach will understand that the impact of this role goes far beyond game night. We are looking for a leader who will challenge student-athletes to excel in the classroom, grow in their faith, and represent MCC with energy and pride.
We are seeking a coach with the vision to elevate sideline cheer while creating alignment throughout the program. The right candidate will establish a spirited, disciplined, and team-first culture built on accountability, enthusiasm, and school pride. From practices to game night support, this leader will create a culture where every cheerleader understands their role, every voice matters, and every student-athlete is pushed to grow. Our next coach will develop confident student-leaders, mentor assistant coaches, and energize the MCC community—building a program that strengthens school spirit and develops leaders ready to step up in every arena of life.
Position Overview
The Sideline Cheer Coach will oversee all aspects of the sideline cheer program and work collaboratively with school leadership to ensure the program reflects the mission and values of Muskegon Catholic Central. This role demands a leader who can set the tone for the entire program—building and sustaining a culture of school spirit, developing student-athletes, and aligning Crusader cheer around a shared vision for pride, positivity, and support.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will bring previous cheerleading, coaching, or related leadership experience, preferably at the high school level, along with a proven ability to lead, organize, and elevate a program. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education and possess excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. A passion for building school spirit and developing high-character student-athletes is essential.
