Job Title LOG Yearbook Staff Photographer Department Student Activities Terms and Hours Approx. 5 hours/week, September - April Job Category Student Stipend Hourly Wage Monthly Stipend Payment Job Summary This is not a Student Employment Position. This is a student volunteer experience. Volunteer experience participants receive monthly stipend payments. LOG Yearbook Staff Photographer work collaboratively with the LOG Yearbook Photographer Editor and other LOG Yearbook staff members to create and source the photographs featured in the 172-page LOG Yearbook. Staff Photographers cover campus events, take headshots, and source photos from campus partners. Core Duties Contributes to covering approx. 11-12 stories per semester. Supplies correctly spelled names and year in school of each subject and a writes caption of the action for each photo submitted. Digitally manages and organizes photos in computer file system. Takes initiative to take photos not specifically assigned. Re-takes photos when asked to do so. Actively solicits photo submissions by campus individuals and groups. Participation includes attending weekly meetings (1-2 a week). Editor and Advisor should be advised of absence in advance Participation includes attending weekly meetings (1-2 a week). Editor and Advisor should be advised of absence in advance Other relevant duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Previous photography experience Access to digital DSLR camera required Creative, self-motivated, organized individual Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and/or Lightroom Preferred Qualifications Past yearbook or student newspaper experience preferred but not required Interest and/or experience in student journalism Physical Requirements N/A Posting Detail Information Posting Number
