Job Description

About the Role Humble Brands is seeking a talented contract photographer and videographer to capture the stunning landscapes and seasonal shifts of the Taos and Northern New Mexico region. Content will be used primarily across social media (Instagram Reels, Stories, and Feed), brand video, and website placements. This is an ongoing contract engagement with weekly and/or monthly deliverables based on a shot list provided by Humble. The ideal candidate has a deep connection to the outdoors, understands the creative demands of social-first content, and can deliver polished, platform-ready stills and video on a reliable schedule. Scope of Work Produce high-quality still photography and video content of outdoor and scenic locations throughout the Taos and Northern New Mexico area Execute against a shot list provided by Humble, with deliverables on a weekly and/or monthly cadence as agreed upon Product photography as needed and agreed upon Capture content optimized for social media, with a primary focus on
Instagram:
  • Vertical video (9:16) for Reels and Stories
  • Square and vertical stills for Feed posts
  • Horizontal video (16:9) for website hero placements, brand video, and longer-form content Capture content aligned with seasonal milestones (e.
g., fall foliage, first snowfall, spring wildflowers, summer monsoons, harvest season) Document celestial events (e.g., full moons, eclipses, meteor showers, Milky Way visibility windows, sunrise/sunset golden hour) Deliver all images and video fully color-corrected, white-balanced, and graded to a consistent visual style agreed upon with Humble Coordinate with the Humble team on creative direction, shot prioritization, and scheduling around weather and lighting conditions Deliverables & Format Specifications Stills High-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI for print; optimized exports for web and social) Cropped and formatted versions for Instagram Feed (1:1 and 4:5 aspect ratios) All images color-corrected and delivered in JPEG and/or TIFF as specified Video Vertical video (9:16): Social-ready cuts for Instagram Reels and Stories, trimmed and formatted for direct posting Horizontal video (16:9): Minimum 1080p (4K preferred) for website and brand video placements; delivered as color-corrected footage or B-roll for in-house editing Clips delivered in
MP4/H.264
(social-ready) and/or ProRes (editing-grade) as specified per project Delivery Expectations Depending on the project, deliverables may include social-ready cuts (trimmed, formatted, and ready to post) or color-corrected raw footage for the Humble team to edit in-house Humble will specify the delivery type per shot list or project brief Organized file delivery via shared drive or transfer platform with consistent naming conventions, metadata, and resolution standards Brief shoot notes or captions accompanying each delivery (location, date, conditions, and any relevant context) Qualifications Proven portfolio of scenic, landscape, and/or nature photography and videography, with examples of social media content Strong understanding of social media content formats, especially Instagram Reels, Stories, and Feed best practices Proficiency in color correction and grading (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or equivalent) Ability to deliver both polished social-ready edits and clean raw/graded footage depending on the project Strong understanding of natural lighting, golden hour timing, and weather-dependent shooting Experience planning shoots around celestial events and seasonal timelines Reliable transportation and willingness to access remote or rugged outdoor locations in Northern New Mexico Own professional-grade camera, lenses, and stabilization equipment suitable for both stills and vertical/horizontal video Strong organizational skills and ability to meet recurring deadlines Nice to Have Familiarity with the Taos and Northern New Mexico landscape, trails, and scenic locations Experience with drone/aerial photography (FAA Part 107 certification preferred) Time-lapse and astrophotography capabilities Experience shooting social-first content for consumer brands, DTC, or lifestyle brands Basic motion graphics or text overlay skills for social-ready video cuts Engagement Details Contract type: Independent contractor (1099)
