Full Job Description Job Type:
Contract (1099) Part-time (10-15 hours/week) to start This position is remote with in-person working sessions Compensation is dependent on experience but may range from $20
  • 25 per hour This position reports directly to me I am looking for an experienced photography assistant position to join the Julie Wilhite Photography team and help assist with photography editing, album creation, administrative and social support.
You Might Be A Fit If….. You pay attention to the details. A strong, artistic eye that geeks out on perfect skin tones and hates exit signs as much as I do. You will need to have a strong attention to detail for editing portraits, weddings and creating beautiful slideshows for photography clients. You are organized. This position is responsible for keeping both me and my clients focused and accountable. You will need to be able to prioritize and stay on top of tasks and projects to keep the business moving. You love going above + beyond to make clients happy. In this position, you will be interacting with clients and creating a luxury client experience. You are a problem solver. You should be able to use critical thinking in order to research and recommend solutions for potential obstacles. You are an excellent communicator. In this role, you will be representing me to potential and existing clients. You should be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally. You are resourceful. My time and energy are stretched in multiple different directions on any given day. Any time you are able to find answers and solutions on your own without guidance from me saves me the mental and physical energy I can put towards serving clients and growing the business. You can anticipate needs. I don't always have the time to think ahead. If you are someone who takes initiative and is able to anticipate a need I have that will support me, the business, or our clients before I ask, please apply! You are a multi-tasker. At any given time, we may have multiple projects, clients, or initiatives happening simultaneously. You should have the ability to prioritize and manage your time while also being flexible enough to switch gears when necessary. You are reliable. You are no stranger to deadlines and it's important to you to follow through on a task or assignment on time. You are responsive. While this job does have flexible hours, you will be expected to respond in a timely manner to questions or requests with a confirmation that you received the communication and a commitment to a turnaround time to respond or follow through. You are fun-loving. Professional does not necessarily mean stuffy to you. You have a sense of humor and enjoy having fun at work. About This Role The Assistant position is responsible for:
Editing & Finalizing Client Galleries:
Additional edits to images, selecting slideshow images, uploading + delivering galleries Wedding Albums
  • designing albums with Fundy Designer, managing album workflow and make sure clients receive their albums in a timely manner Administrative Support
  • scheduling second shooters, client management, Behind the Scenes client workflow (questionnaires & timelines), updating website imagery, blogging, IG content (posts, reels, story graphics), organize FB group, submitting images to publications, sending client booking and final gifts Skills needed: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom CC, Adobe Bridge Experience editing photographs with varying skin tones Experience with social media platforms•Instagram & Facebook Time management Confidence writing short copy Organized Technically savvy Critical thinking Responsive and professional communication Consistent and reliable Requirements of the position: Experience with photography editing programs required•Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom CC, Adobe Bridge.
Experience with other programs used would be excellent, but not required
  • Fundy Album Designer, Notion, Pic-Time, Instagram Reels, Canva, Narrative Publisher.
Experience working with Google Workspace tools: Google Drive, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Forms, etc Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software Ability to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week during daytime hours Must have a functional workstation, Adobe PS & LR and high-speed internet

ABOUT ME
My name is Julie Wilhite and I have been a wedding photographer for the last 18 years. I am based in Austin, TX. I love crazy families, capturing important moments, drinking copious amounts of coffee and having fun while doing excellent work. I pride myself on creating a luxury, hands-on experience for my clients. I have a husband, two boys and two kitty children.
