Job Description

Part-Time Puppet Performer & Creative Studio Assistant Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Hours:
15-20 hours per week
Location:
Home-based studio with travel to performance locations About Us We are a nonprofit puppet theater company dedicated to bringing joy through original, music-centered puppet performances. We design and build all of our own puppets, write our own shows, and perform for children, memory care communities, senior living facilities, libraries, schools, and community organizations. We're looking for a creative, dependable, and enthusiastic team member who enjoys working with people, has an artistic side, and is excited to be part of a unique performing arts organization. Responsibilities Assist with creating and building puppets, props, and costumes for both our children's and senior performance programs. Help perform in live puppet shows for seniors and memory care residents. Assist with transporting, setting up, and packing performance equipment. Create and manage social media content (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Help with general studio organization and project preparation. Assist with administrative tasks as needed. Bookkeeping experience is a plus but not required. Qualifications Positive, dependable, and self-motivated Comfortable interacting with seniors and memory care patients Creative and enjoys arts, crafts, theater, music, or performance Comfortable learning puppetry and performing in front of audiences Familiar with social media platforms Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our studio Able to travel to local performances Bookkeeping experience is a bonus Please note: While you will help create puppets and materials for both our children's and senior programs, your performance responsibilities will initially be limited to our senior and memory care shows. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate enjoys a variety of creative work. Every week is different, you might be helping build puppets for a children's show one day, performing at a senior living community the next, creating social media posts, or preparing for an upcoming performance.
