This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals, interacting with the public, and spending their day outdoors. Pony Handlers play a key role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for our guests while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our ponies. Position Responsibilities Catch, groom, tack, and untack ponies for daily ride operations. Safely lead ponies during rides and monitor animal behavior at all times. Provide excellent customer service by welcoming guests, answering questions, and creating a positive experience for visitors. Educate guests on pony safety, farm rules, and basic animal information. Work closely with children, families, and large groups in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Comfortable interacting with families, children, and the general public throughout the day. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold. Comfortable working in close proximity to ponies, livestock, birds, and other farm animals. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team. At least Sixteen (16) years of age with reliable transportation. Experience Previous experience with ponies, horses, livestock, or animal handling is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Schedule Part-time:
10-25 hours a week Typical hours between 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Weekend and holiday availability requiredPay:
$13.00 - $14.00 per hourBenefits:
