This role is responsible for managing technical teams, overseeing full project lifecycles, and ensuring all productions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and the ability to manage both personnel and complex production systems in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Important Requirement:
Candidates must be proficient in operating at least one industry-standard console within one or more of the following disciplines: Audio, Lighting, or Video . Key Responsibilities Lead the technical execution of live events, ensuring all audio, video, and lighting elements meet company and client standards Manage and oversee technical teams across multiple disciplines to ensure efficient operations and high-quality delivery Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of events, communicating with clients, producers, and internal stakeholders Collaborate with creative and production teams to translate event concepts into detailed technical execution plans Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful completion within budget and scope Coordinate internal staff and third-party vendors for seamless event execution Prepare project quotes, proposals, pull sheets, and budgets aligned with client requirements Utilize inventory and project management systems to track equipment, scheduling, and cost changes Lead onsite installations and strike, including hands-on operation of technical systems and scenic elements Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in real time during setup and live events Ensure compliance with safety standards, including rigging, power distribution, and proper equipment handling Train, mentor, and support the development of technical staff Maintain accurate documentation of equipment, workflows, and system configurations Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices Respond to client needs in a timely manner, including outside standard business hours when required Travel to event locations to oversee setup, execution, and breakdown Qualifications Experience 5-8+ years of experience in live event production, technical direction, or production management Proven experience managing audio, video, and lighting teams in live environments Background in corporate events, concerts, broadcast, or large-scale productions Technical Expertise Strong understanding of audio, video, and lighting system integration Experience with digital audio consoles, video switching systems, and lighting control platforms Knowledge of signal flow, networking protocols (e.g., Dante, Art-Net), and system troubleshooting Familiarity with rigging, truss systems, and event power distribution Project Management & Operations Experience managing budgets, proposals, and production schedules Proficiency with inventory and project management software Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of staffing logistics and resource allocation Leadership & Communication Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure Ability to maintain professionalism in high-stress, fast-paced environments Work Requirements Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended production schedules Willingness to travel frequently to event locations Ability to lift and handle equipment (50+ lbs) Comfortable working in physically demanding, fast-paced environments Additional Information This role combines hands-on technical execution with high-level production management Cross-disciplinary expertise across audio, video, and lighting is strongly preferred McNally Enterprises fosters a collaborative environment focused on growth, innovation, and continuous learningPay:
