At Reel Love Films, we make Reality TV Wedding Films that people can't help but watch. Most wedding videographers send couples a slow motion music video. That's not what we do. We make Reality TV-style narrative films where real couples are the stars of their own episode. We're building a small and intentional team who can step into a wedding without supervision and make that happen. This is a contractor position. You'll train alongside us on active productions this year and step into your own lead role in 2027. We'll make sure you can function independently, confidently, and at the level our couples deserve. What You'll Actually Be Doing (After you're trained) Before every shoot you'll join a pre-production prep call to review the couple's creative brief, story anchors, confessional question sheet, and shot priorities. You'll arrive on set with a clear vision for how the episode will unfold, not figuring it out as you go. You'll always work in a team of 2 or 3. On production day you'll operate camera, run wireless mic systems for the couple and wedding party, lead confessional interviews, and capture every scene across the full episode. Including excursions, getting-ready, ceremony, and reception. You'll problem-solve in real time because you're the lead on set and there's no one above you to call. At the end of the night you'll offload all footage and audio to the cloud so the editors can begin their work. After every shoot you'll submit a quick debrief — a voice memo or short note covering what landed and any story moments worth flagging for the editor. No editing required. We handle post. Your job ends when the footage hits the cloud. Who We're Looking For We need someone who is teachable first and experienced second. It would be best for you to already know your way around and be comfortable with a mirrorless camera. If you don't know the basics, a few YouTube searches should fix that. What we mainly want to hone is your instinct for story, your ability to read a room, and your willingness to go emotionally deep with strangers on the best day of their lives. You're the right fit if you: Are comfortable operating professional mirrorless cinema cameras (Sony FX3, Nikon ZR or similar) Can lead interviews and guide people through emotionally honest, unscripted moments on camera Have a genuine storytelling instinct where you can see narrative, not just footage Can function fully independently on a shoot without micromanagement Stay calm and adaptable when plans shift, because they always do Are someone people genuinely want around on one of the most important days of their lives Want to tell love stories in a way that has never been done before Perks Post-shoot massage covered after every wedding you direct Red carpet premiere access.
