Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Manager to lead our shop floor with efficiency and quality standards. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, coordinate repair schedules, assign work to technicians and ensure a quality repair. Your leadership will inspire teams to meet quality, efficiency, and safety goals while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Schedule jobs and assign daily tasks to body and refinish technicians. Schedule and transport vehicles to and from sublet vendors. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the entire repair process. Monitor repair progress, workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for increased efficiency. Collaborate with estimators and parts personnel to minimize downtime. Track and analyze key performance metrics such as cycle time, productivity, and delivery completion rates. Ensure a safe, clean, and organized shop environment in compliance with safety standards. Lead daily production meetings to communicate priorities and goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years body shop production management or lead technician experience. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Knowledge of repair processes, workflow management, and estimating systems. Proficiency with computers and body shop management software. Valid driver's license. Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace by ensuring proper PPE use and adherence to safety regulations. Working Conditions Combination of office and shop floor environment with frequent movement between both areas. Ability to sit for extended periods when performing administrative tasks. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the day. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling paperwork, and using computers. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally (parts, tools, or supplies). Visual acuity to review estimates and work orders, inspect vehicles and repair or damaged areas, and use a computer. Clear and professional verbal communication in person and over the phone. Safely operate customer and company vehicles.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
