We're growing, and we're looking for an Assistant Production Manager to help us deliver high-quality installations, keep crews running safely and efficiently, and ensure every homeowner has an excellent experience. The Role The Assistant Production Manager oversees roofing, siding, windows, doors, and gutters installations from scheduling through final walkthrough. You'll coordinate crews and materials, supervise job sites, enforce safety and quality standards, and serve as a key point of contact for customers. This is a hands-on, in-the-field leadership role for someone organized, safety-minded, and comfortable managing both people and logistics. What You'll Do Job Planning & Scheduling Assist in planning daily and weekly installation schedules Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment assignments Review job orders, roof plans, and measurement sheets Communicate schedule changes due to weather, material delays, or site issues Assist with material ordering Material Preparation & Coordination Audit roofing materials (shingles, tiles, metal, underlayment, flashing, sealants, etc.) before crews begin Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery Minimize material waste, ensuring job profitability On-Site Supervision Visit job sites regularly to ensure crews follow installation standards Inspect job components and final finish throughout installation Ensure job-site cleanliness and thorough post-job cleanup by the crews Conduct final walkthroughs with customers and complete certificates of completion Crew Management Verify attendance and allocate manpower based on skill level Complete daily subcontractor payment updates in AccuLynx and the weekly sub-pay sheet Reporting & Documentation Use AccuLynx to document job progress, inspections, and photos Record material usage, deliveries, and returns Update the management team weekly on job progress, challenges, and crew performance A Typical Day Start of day: Confirm subcontractors (a day ahead), review job orders and crew rosters, check weather and adjust as needed.
During the day:
Visit active sites to monitor progress, safety, and quality; resolve issues like missing materials or structural concerns; coordinate additional deliveries; keep customers updated; and log progress, delays, and material use in AccuLynx.
End of day:
Confirm site cleanup and secured equipment, document job status and any issues in AccuLynx, review completion percentages, and plan the next day.
