We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing floor and help build the systems, accountability, and consistency needed to grow responsibly. This is not a desk-only management position. The right person will be visible on the floor, able to lead a skilled team, solve problems quickly, protect quality, and keep builds moving from start to finish. What You'll Do Lead the daily operation of the production floor, including scheduling, technician assignments, workflow, quality, and on-time completion. Own each build from production kickoff through final quality control and delivery readiness, ensuring all punch-list items are complete before the vehicle leaves production. Run daily production meetings to set priorities, identify blockers, assign resources, and communicate schedule changes. Create clear build plans and hold team members accountable to priorities, workmanship standards, and deadlines. Maintain accurate production schedules and provide realistic completion forecasts based on labor, parts availability, rework, and current shop capacity. Track planned versus actual labor hours and production timelines to improve estimating, scheduling, staffing, and overall efficiency. Balance manpower across builds and departments based on priorities, technician skill sets, deadlines, and changing production needs. Ensure technicians have the drawings, specifications, materials, tools, and information needed before work begins. Work proactively with purchasing and inventory to identify missing or long-lead parts before they impact production, and escalate critical shortages early. Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, engineering/design, service, and leadership to ensure materials and information are available when needed. Establish clear ownership of rework and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat problems. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient production environment, including enforcement of company safety procedures, shop standards, and proper use and care of tools and equipment. Document and standardize repeatable production processes, including build procedures, quality-control checkpoints, and lessons learned from completed vehicles. Coach, develop, and support production technicians and lead technicians. Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and team development. Report regularly on production progress, capacity, delays, staffing needs, quality concerns, and operational improvements. What We're Looking For Previous Production Manager experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience managing multiple simultaneous builds with competing deadlines, shared resources, material constraints, and changing customer or engineering requirements. Experience in RV, vehicle, automotive, specialty vehicle, marine, fabrication, or custom manufacturing is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set expectations, and create accountability while maintaining the respect of the people doing the work. Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow management, materials planning, labor tracking, quality control, and continuous improvement. Comfortable working in a fast-moving, custom-build environment where priorities must be managed carefully. Ability to read and interpret build specifications, work orders, drawings, and technical information. Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and follow-through. A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be present on the floor every day. Transition and Team Structure Our current Production Manager will work closely with the successful candidate during the transition. He has built strong relationships with the team and will move into an Operations Manager role focused on broader operational support, systems, purchasing/inventory coordination, and removing roadblocks across the business. The Production Manager will have full leadership responsibility for the production floor and will work closely with company leadership to support sustainable growth, quality builds, and an excellent customer experience.
