Job Description
Job Summary The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing, ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Production Planning & Scheduling:
Develop, execute, and adjust daily, weekly, or monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and sales forecasts.Operational Oversight:
Manage the end-to-end production process, including materials, all fabrication and workflow management, final assembly and final product distribution.Quality Control:
Establish and enforce quality standards, ensuring products meet specifications and conducting regular audits to reduce defects.Resource Allocation:
Manage staffing levels, assign personnel to tasks, and ensure machinery/equipment is properly maintained and optimized.Budget & Cost Control:
Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality.Safety & Compliance:
Enforce health and safety regulations (such as OSHA or GMP) to maintain a safe working environment.Performance Reporting:
Analyze production data, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and report on productivity to senior management.Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor all production personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
Generally 3-5 years of experience in production management or a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.Technical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of production machinery, manufacturing processes, and quality control systems.Leadership:
Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams.Problem-Solving:
Ability to think critically under pressure and resolve production bottlenecks or equipment failures quickly.Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise between staff, management, and suppliers.IT Proficiency:
Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field is often preferred, though equivalent experience is commonly acceptedBenefits:
