We partner with colleges and universities, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and private clients to transform ideas into memorable events through expert planning, creative vision, and flawless execution. Our specialties include audio, lighting, video, photo booths, pipe and drape, and everything in between. Whether producing an intimate gathering or a large public event, we bring the expertise, resources, and passion necessary to execute events that exceed expectations. Job Overview We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around people. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, confident, and comfortable engaging with clients and event attendees throughout the day. If you prefer working independently with minimal interaction, this position is probably not the right fit. As an Assistant Project Manager / Multimedia Technician, you'll assist with a range of events including operating audiovisual equipment at conferences, concerts, dances, and more. You'll assist guests at photo booths, make announcements, host games like trivia and bingo, and overall help create an engaging event atmosphere. In addition to event work, you'll gain experience with the behind-the-scenes planning that makes events successful, including scheduling, client communication, contracts, invoicing, and event coordination. Key Responsibilities Build positive relationships with clients before, during, and after events. Confidently interact with guests and attendees while representing Brian Nicks Productions. Assist with setup, testing, and operation of audio, video, lighting, photo booths, and other event equipment. Set up complete sound systems, including mixers, speakers, microphones, and cabling. Ensure equipment functions properly before and throughout events. Make announcements, operate music, and assist with any client needs. Host trivia, bingo, and other interactive games at qualifying events. Assist with proper breakdown and storage of AV equipment after events. Load and unload equipment at event venues. Communicate with clients regarding scheduling and event logistics. Work efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
Qualifications The most important qualification:

Has exceptional customer service skills and enjoys creating memorable experiences. Brings positive energy and enthusiasm to every event. Is comfortable taking initiative without constant direction. Has a basic understanding of (or strong interest in) audiovisual equipment—we're happy to train the right person. Communicates professionally and works well both independently and as part of a team. Is willing to work evenings and weekends as events require. Can lift up to 50 pounds and remain on their feet for extended periods.
