Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The mission of the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media is to prepare students to ignite the public conversation in our state, the nation and the world, and to understand the role of communication in fostering democracy. Position Summary This position may be eligible for hybrid and/or remote work schedule. Employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. A part-time temporary Production Associate will oversee the production of 1-4, 30-minutes sports documentaries highlighting the accomplishments of various athletics teams on campus. The responsibilities include all field production elements, including shooting, writing, and editing. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Management Preferences Previous media and broadcast experience. Demonstrated ability to complete projects to exacting professional standards. Special Physical/Mental Requirements Campus Security Authority Responsibilities Not Applicable.
