The ideal candidate is a unique blend of a live event director and a hands-on creative storyteller—equally comfortable writing a run-of-show script, operating control room technology, and filming/editing high-impact video content that drives fan engagement, ticket sales, and fulfills corporate partner elements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, write, and distribute detailed game scripts, timing sheets, and run-of-show documents for game-night staff, public address announcers, hosts, mascots, and control room crew.
  • Conceptualize and execute innovative theme nights, intermission games, and fan-activation elements that maximize crowd energy.
  • Maintain strict compliance with league rules and timing regulations regarding game protocol. Creative Video Production & Content Creation
  • Oversee the technical setup, maintenance, and execution of the in-arena control room and broadcast streaming infrastructure (including NDI systems, switchers, and replay equipment).
  • Direct and program in-game sports technology, such as Daktronics Show Control/ video board graphics systems.
  • Manage, recruit, train, and schedule a dedicated part-time game-night production crew (camera operators, replay technicians, audio engineers, and promotional staff). Corporate Partnership Fulfillment
  • Collaborate closely with the corporate partnerships department to seamlessly integrate sponsor inventory, live promotions, and digital assets into the game presentation.
  • Ensure 100% execution of contracted partner elements while maintaining the creative integrity and flow of the fan entertainment experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of professional sports game presentation, live video production, or broadcast control room experience (hockey or arena sports experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop). Proven experience operating live production equipment, video switchers, NDI routing, filming, and matrix screen systems (e.g., Daktronics Show Control).
  • Leadership:
Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct a diverse team of full-time and part-time gameday staff in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Communication:
Exceptional organizational, communication, and script-writing skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Schedule:
Must have a flexible schedule, including the ability to work non-traditional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to cover all home games and special team events.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Produce high-impact intro videos, hype packages, player features, marketing commercials, and corporate partner elements utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Manage the team's digital video assets, archives, and historical footage.
