Job Description

Production Manager - Die Casting Automotive parts maker needs a Production Manager to run its Die Casting manufacturing department. This position requires a very strong background in die casting processes. Your primary goals will be to improve safety, delivery, cost, and quality. With safety first in mind, you will lead continuous improvement, following the principles of the Toyota Production System. Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction, reduction in customer complaints, and reporting of non-conformances. Evaluate and improve manpower layout, 5-S standardization, and organization layout. Work with maintenance to improve machine uptime. Provide data driven analyses of manufacturing problems. This position will require travel by plane and car 10-20%.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Business, or related major Must have deep experience of the die casting process, especially of automotive parts Must have at least three years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience in driving quality, cost, delivery times, and safety improvements. Must be committed to the use of metrics to understand production trends and weak points.
