Job Description

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. ‌ Experienced filmmaker and media producer contributing to the production team in the ACU Learning Studio. Basic Responsibilities A. Film and edit strategic video storytelling projects B. Manage video, audio, and production gear and backup of strategic projects C. Develop special projects and produce media content as assigned
Essential Duties:
Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. 1. Film and edit strategic video storytelling projects to promote academic programs. a. lead on-set production for LS Productions unit within Learning Studio b. coordinate with LS team to film, edit, and deliver final content for strategic projects. c. contribute video-storytelling expertise to pre-production, production, and post-production of other strategic projects coordinated by LS Productions across the system. 2. Manage purchasing and oversight of video, audio, and lighting gear for advanced production projects. a. work with LS staff on selection, purchase, and organization of video production gear b. manage insurance and upgrade plan for existing gear as well as occasional specialty rentals for strategic projects c. train student workers in proper care and on-set management of high-end video production equipment 3. Develop special projects and produce media content as assigned. a. work with LS staff to develop production workflows to allow more short-form videos in support of academic programs and departments b. advise on video needs in other colleges or campus marketing when appropriate c. ensure that backup and storage platforms grow to meet needs of campus filming d. develop model to take on 1-2 short documentaries a year to extend the universities reputation beyond the traditional ACU community.
Professional Development Requirements:
