PDC Production Manager Quality Electrical Systems - 3.4 West Jordan, UT Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Fabrication Team leadership MRP Manufacturing facility experience Managing manufacturing teams Productivity software Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Position Summary The Production Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all production activities within the PDC (Power Distribution Center) and E-House manufacturing department. This position ensures products are manufactured safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while driving continuous improvement throughout the operation. The Production Manager provides leadership to supervisors, production teams, and support personnel to achieve company objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee development. ___________________________________________________________ Essential Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing operations for PDC and E-House production. Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments. Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company standards. Promote a culture of zero incidents and continuous safety improvement. Monitor production performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Safety Quality Schedule adherence Productivity Labor efficiency On-time delivery Coordinate labor resources across fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, interconnect, testing, and shipping. Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure smooth project execution. Identify production constraints and implement corrective actions to eliminate bottlenecks. Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, visual management, waste reduction, and continuous improvement. Ensure products meet customer specifications, UL requirements, NEC standards, and company quality expectations. Review production metrics and implement action plans to improve operational performance. Manage staffing requirements, overtime, and workforce planning. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and employee development. Promote accountability, teamwork, and a culture of operational excellence. Lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities across all departments. Support new product introductions and process improvements. Manage departmental budgets and control manufacturing costs without sacrificing quality or safety. ___________________________________________________________ Leadership Responsibilities Directly supervise Production Supervisors and manufacturing personnel. Champion company values and operational excellence. ___________________________________________________________ Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience. Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience. Minimum 5 years in a production leadership role. Experience managing multiple supervisors and production teams. Strong understanding of electrical equipment manufacturing or industrial fabrication. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Experience manufacturing Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), E-Houses, switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or industrial electrical equipment. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience. Project manufacturing or engineer-to-order (ETO) production experience. Knowledge of UL, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA standards. OSHA 30 certification. PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. ___________________________________________________________ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
