Job Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the art setups required for product development to ensure customer approvals and execution of production friendly art with on time deliveries. This role serves as the key point of contact for both internal and external clients regarding technical pack hand off and the creation of screen-print separations, sublimation files, digitized embroidery files and twill art files utilized on decorated apparel. This person will manage the Graphic Art Team in multiple locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the team of artists responsible for creating graphic art setups. Types of art setups include screen-printing separations, sublimation art and color approval swatches, digitized embroidery files, twill and laser cut files. Manage development and approval of strike off process in preparation for bulk production. Provide technical support and guidance related to embellishment methods and processes when complex issues arise. Assists in developing the Art department goals, metrics, objectives and systems. Develop, test, and implement workflows that increase the efficiency and timeliness of order processing and production as a part of continuous improvement. Responsible for preparing key art related statistical reports and other reports for management. Participate in department head meetings, staff meetings and attends seminars, monitoring innovation and continuous improvement activities. Conduct yearly performance appraisals. Set expectations to determine measurable goals for benchmarking and tracking performance. Ensures accuracy and on time delivery of needed art files. Able to communicate effectively and manage schedules to accommodate multiple projects and deadlines. Standardized materials and processes across facilities.
Maintains archive of digital resources:
Source and final art files organized by customer, program and season. Recruit, hire & train team Support and spend time on the production floor Coordinate and communicate effectively with customers Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): 5-7 years of Production Art or equivalent experience required. Uses advanced computer software including the Adobe CC Suite. (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) as well as Microsoft Office. Knowledge of team apparel sales, manufacturing, screen printing, sublimation printing and transfer embellishment processes, sewing construction. Munsell Test approved highly recommended Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple projects at a time and set priorities to hit deliverables on time. Strong problem solving and analytical skills Strong leadership skills and ability to build productive team.

English / Spanish a plus.

Business Administration, Graphic Design, or Engineering Physical, Cognitive, Safety and Environmental Demands:
Sit for extended periods while working on computers and reviewing digital artwork files Use hands and upper extremities for prolonged keyboard, mouse, and digital tablet use Maintain near vision, color acuity, and visual focus for detailed artwork review, separations, and color approvals (including accurate color differentiation) Stand and walk periodically on the production floor to support press operations and development processes Lift and move materials, samples, screens, or art boards up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Alternate between office-based tasks and production floor support activities Maintain sustained concentration, analytical thinking, and decision-making accuracy while managing multiple projects and deadlines Exercise sound judgment when resolving technical art, embellishment, or production challenges Communicate effectively with internal teams, leadership, and external customers in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Work in environments that may include noise, heat, dust, inks, and production equipment exposure when on the manufacturing floor Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA guidelines when entering production areas Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the production floor Work extended hours or overtime as project timelines and production schedules require Tegra LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
