Production Manager•
Concrete Coatings Company:
Catalyst Coatings LLC Job Type:
Full-time Compensation:
$60,000•$110,000+ per year About Us Catalyst Coatings LLC is a rapidly growing concrete coatings company specializing in high-quality resin coatings and polished concrete systems. We're looking for a driven Production Manager to lead our crews, manage installations, and deliver top-tier craftsmanship to our clients. The Role The Production Manager at Catalyst Coatings is the operational backbone of our install operation. You will work closely with both the management team and lead technicians to ensure every job runs smoothly — on time, on budget, and exceeding client expectations. You will start on the truck for 1-2 months to learn our systems from the inside, then transition into full management responsibility as we hit consistent volume. This is a leadership role for someone who earns respect through action and takes satisfaction in watching a crew execute a flawless installation. Responsibilities
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Lead daily morning meetings — set the tone, assign goals, and arm the crew with what they need Collect and review job site progress documentation throughout the day Understand all materials, coating systems, and installation processes Provide learning resources and training to technicians on products and methods Give clear instructions, expectations, and goals to each crew before departure Proactively prevent failures through planning and anticipating problems before they arise Assist technicians with installations whenever necessary — no task is beneath this role Review and approve employee timesheets daily; track time per task and per job
MATERIALS & SUPPLIES
Pick up and deliver materials to job sites as needed Stock crew vehicles every morning before departure Perform daily inventory of materials and supplies Order materials and supplies proactively to prevent shortages Track material and supply usage by job for accurate reporting
VEHICLES & EQUIPMENT
Coordinate, log, and track all maintenance on company vehicles Coordinate, log, and track all maintenance on tools and equipment Ensure vehicles and trailers are washed weekly in winter, bi-weekly in summer Maintain a clean and organized shop space at all times
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
Manage all client communication post-sale through job close Notify clients of team arrival time, current stage of work, and project completion Communicate any delays to clients proactively — before they call you Conduct a post-job call: verify the floor meets expectations, explain cure windows and maintenance, and request a review Close jobs and invoice upon completion
SCHEDULING & OPERATIONS
Schedule and coordinate all jobs in collaboration with the sales/operations team Document all stages of every job — from start to final walkthrough Provide estimating recommendations to sales based on production data Ensure on-site marketing standards are upheld at every job Manage Jobber and CompanyCam for workflow tracking and systematized production
REPORTING
Deliver bi-weekly production reports to operations management Track and report key monthly performance metrics: material overage by product, material waste, time waste by project, 5-star review rate, and average supplies used per sq/ft, per day, and per job What We're Looking For Strong hands-on experience with epoxy floor coatings and polished concrete — surface prep, spread rates, resin characteristics, and concrete properties Proven ability to lead a crew while still doing the work — not managing from the sidelines Sound judgment and decisiveness in the field — you solve problems before they cost time or money High standards for quality; you don't let a job leave the site unless it's right Organized and self-driven — you build systems that make the job easier over time Reliable, professional communicator with both crews and clients Physically capable of full days in demanding field conditions Non-Negotiables Morning meetings are run every day, without exception Will work on-site alongside technicians when crews are short or behind schedule Consistent professionalism with clients, crew, and ownership at all times Bi-weekly production reports delivered on schedule KPIs tracked and reported monthly Keys to Success Self-driven — invest time upfront to build systems that create more free time and an easier workload long-term Establish a positive working relationship and earned respect with your technicians Ask questions, seek your own answers first, then verify with the appropriate person Resources Provided You will have access to the following from day one: Morning meeting checklist Morning load-up checklist Job steps and task checklist Clean-up and end-of-day checklist Material and supply tracking sheets Vehicle and equipment maintenance logs Client information resources and follow-up call sheet Employee write-up sheets Bi-weekly production report template Jobber and CompanyCam access and training Manufacturer training videos, websites, and SDS/TDS sheets Systems list and materials/manufacturers reference
