Edit and proofread drafts according to editorial guidelines such as AP style and Chicago Manual of Style, ensuring clarity and consistency. Research historical context or technical details as needed to enrich storytelling accuracy. Manage editorial projects from initial concept through final delivery, maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the process. Fact-check all content meticulously to ensure authenticity and accuracy of personal details. Collaborate with clients during review sessions to incorporate feedback and refine the manuscript into a polished memoir or biography. Qualifications Proven experience in content writing, storytelling, editing, or journalism, with a strong portfolio of narrative projects. Exceptional writing skills in English, including copy editing, copywriting, and creative writing abilities. Familiarity with editorial guidelines such as AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and technical writing standards. Strong research skills for fact-checking historical data or technical information relevant to client stories. Experience using content management systems and word processing tools efficiently. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and team members. Ability to manage multiple projects independently while adhering to deadlines.
