Job Overview STUWE GmbH & Co , an established industry leader in the manufacture of mechanical components for drive technology, is seeking a meticulous and skilled WFH Proofreader/Writer to join our team. This is a full-time , remote position based in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States . The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and refining high-quality technical documentation for our specialised range of friction-locked shaft-hub connections and braking systems. This role is ideal for a professional with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, precise, and accessible content. Responsibilities Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of technical documents, including product manuals, specification sheets, assembly instructions, and marketing materials. Ensure all content is grammatically correct, well-structured, and adheres to our company's style and branding guidelines. Collaborate closely with our engineering and product development teams to gather information and ensure the technical accuracy of all documentation. Simplify complex technical information into user-friendly content suitable for various audiences without compromising on essential detail. Maintain and update the existing library of technical documentation to reflect product changes and improvements. Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met efficiently. Qualifications Proven professional experience in technical writing, proofreading, or a similar content-focused role. An exceptional command of the English language, with outstanding grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills. Previous experience within the manufacturing, engineering, or a related technical industry is highly advantageous. A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex technical subjects clearly and concisely. Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing work of the highest quality. Excellent research skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritise tasks. Proficiency in standard office and content creation software.
