Job Description

Please read the full post before applying. About The Project Foul Ball Safety Now is sitting on a full body of work waiting to be elevated into an undeniable narrative. Founded by life-long baseball fan Jordan Skopp, this national advocacy movement exposes the long-ignored dangers facing fans inside and outside of ballparks and stadiums. Ours is a movement of one that has grown into a multi-year, multi-platform body of work including:
  • 7 years of investigative research
  • Extensive interviews with victims and their families, baseball players, and insiders to the game
  • An on-going, longform audio continuum series of 80+ recorded conversations with inquiring minds across professions
  • Legal, medical, and cultural engagement across the country
  • National press coverage in the Los Angeles Times, Forbes, The Boston Globe, People Magazine, and more It's time to elevate this movement in a major way. What This Can Become With The Right Publicist Our brand has clear pathways within film, television, publishing, live experience, and cultural discourse spaces. Our existing archive, storytelling, and advocacy could evolve into:
  • A documentary, docu-series, or mini-series
  • A scripted adaptation in a live/theatrical format (like the play already in development with NYU-adjunct playwright)
  • A weekly audio/broadcast series
  • A book/multi-volume book series about the man taking on the machine
  • A scaled, cultural conversation Everyone is going to want to read and talk about this, because the writing is already on the wall.
The Role:
Elevation Through Connection We are looking for a well-connected publicist/industry connector who recognizes what stories need to be elevated and knows exactly what connections to bring in.
You will:
  • Open the right doors to producers, agents, lawyers, talent, and media
  • Identify key partners who can make this movement mainstream
  • Set up high-value meetings one relationship at a time
  • Understand how to shift baseball's narrative
  • Build the foundation for long-term alignment and loyalty In the short term, you will be compensated for making introductions and setting up meaningful meetings.
Your value will be attached to who you can bring to the table and why they're a perfect fit. In the long term, you will stay involved as relationships deepen and help sustain the building blocks between Foul Ball Safety Now and the people you connect to it. You will become part of the ongoing elevation of the brand, acting as its architect. Who You Are You are a rockstar connector who:
  • Already has relationships that can elevate this project immediately
  • Understands how to make narratives mainstream
  • Knows who the movers and shakers are and how to reach them
  • Believes this story is inevitable and worthy of the right push You likely have direct access to:
  • Film/TV producers and development executives
  • Talent managers and agents
  • Entertainment attorneys
  • Influential media voices and content creators Why This Matters There has been a long-standing, private understanding that people attending games were going to get hurt.
Our project will create an epiphany of awareness and outrage that demands real, cultural accountability. We have the momentum and the materials, and need the publicist who can elevate our work into something undeniable. Let's leverage this societal blindspot together and build something the public can't look away from. How To Apply Please submit a short note on who you would bring to this project first, examples of relevant connections/past placements, and your instincts on where this project belongs in terms of media, talent attachment, and platform placement.
