AY Media Group, award-winning publisher of three premier magazine titles in the mid-South — AY About You, Arkansas Money & Politics and Arkansas Mental Health Guide — seeks to add a seasoned, multifaceted, full-time, in-office staff writer to our elite editorial team. This team-oriented self-starter will be responsible for producing world-class editorial, advertorial and online content across AY Media Group's publications and digital platforms as assigned, as well as independently generating compelling story ideas and leads. The right person will demonstrate a can-do attitude, excellent verbal and outstanding written communication skills. Other requirements include familiarity with AP style; comfort working on deadline in a fast-paced environment; the ability to take direction and respond to editing; and an ease with writing across a wide variety of subject matter, including lifestyle, business, health and mental health topics. Impartiality, drive, accountability, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and a commitment to accuracy are all a must. Editing, proofreading and/or basic photography skills are a major plus.
