Job Summary:
ABC7 Los Angeles is seeking a dynamic and motivated Weekend Reporter/Fill-in Anchor to join the Eyewitness News team. We are looking for someone dedicated to taking us to the next level on all platforms in one of the most competitive news markets in the country. You are an exceptional reporter with extensive experience as an anchor. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success both on-air and behind-the-scenes as a newsroom leader and contributor. You are on the front lines in the field as a lead reporter and you can switch into filling in on the anchor desk on any shift. You uphold the integrity of the station at all times. This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities :
Exceptional reporting, writing and interviewing skills Fill in for anchors on a variety of shifts Expertly handle live breaking news on the anchor desk and in the field Active use of social media for promotion and news gathering Collaborate with producers and managers before, during and after shows, always looking for ways to improve, evolve and innovate storytelling from the studio or field Create unique and shareable stories for television, digital, social and streaming Participate in community and station public events
Basic Qualifications :
Multiple market experience (including anchoring in top market) Must be a strong journalist and storyteller Know how to present active and engaging live shots Must work well under deadline pressure Must have schedule flexibility and ability to work holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as investigative journalist Ability to shoot, edit and publish Experience with Adobe Premiere and/or
Dalet One-Cut Bilingual Required Education:
Bachelor's degree

Please include link to your recent reel on your resume The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $120,000 to $145,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
