Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Features Reporter is a member of the newsroom and is responsible for producing multimedia content for gazette.com, the daily newspaper, the weekly Springs Scene edition and the quarterly Colorado Living magazine as part of an award-winning team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Write compelling, informative stories centered on arts, health, religion, food, outdoors and more. Generate social videos that connect with readers on a multitude of platforms. Develop and cultivate sources that can be used to mine story ideas and improve topical stories. Produce clean, accurate and tight copy in a timely fashion. Utilize social media to enhance personal brand and improve audience reach for stories. Maintain an overall awareness of cultural trends in the region, state and county. Participate in annual special sections such as Best of the Springs and Colorado Living. Collaborate well with photo and video departments on story planning. Contribute creative ideas and adopt team approach toward newsroom- and staff-wide projects.

Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study with minimum of 2 years of experience. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree. Arts/Entertainment and news experience and digital sensibilities.
