What You'll Do:

Report and write stories for both print and digital platforms Take photos and videos to accompany stories Post and optimize content for the web and social media Build sources and generate story ideas independently Help grow and engage our digital subscriber base

What We're Looking For:

Strong writing and reporting skills with knowledge of AP style Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience with (or willingness to learn) photography, videography and digital publishing Curiosity, initiative and a genuine interest in community journalism Comfort working across both print and digital platforms

Qualifications:

A journalism degree is preferred, but internships and relevant experience will be considered Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance required

This position may include some night and weekend hours. The ability to produce timely, accurate reporting in today's fast-moving digital news environment is essential.
