Job Description

JOB TITLE
: Theatre Arts Scene Shop
DEPARTMENT
: Theatre Arts
REPORTS TO
: Technical Director/Technical Theatre Instructor
PURPOSE OF POSITION
: Work in the scene shop to construct sets for Theatre productions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Work hours will vary Construct sets using various construction techniques Set up and move sets to various theatre venues Paint sets and props Set up lighting and sound equipment for theatre productions Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
: Display artistic ability Be willing to learn theatrical construction techniques Be team oriented and willing to work with a wide variety of individuals Take direction and follow instructions Have experience with power tools and construction equipment
