Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Description:
Rethread Boston is a citywide celebration of reclaiming what we waste on Sunday, Sept. 6 from 12-7pm at Boston City Hall Plaza. We are selecting eight exhibiting artists for the event featuring your work during the event for $150 inpensation. Exhibited pieces can take on a variety of media forms (including paintings, textiles, sculpture, video, and more) yet should speak to themes including but not limited to anti-consumerism, environmental protection, advocacy against fast fashion, and/or recycled or repurposed materials. This event is a city-wide clothing swap that will feature interactive booths for repairing clothes, dying them with plants, silk-screen ing, and making bioplastic from fruit skins in addition to hands-on classes. Together, we will bring themunity together to envision a livably fashionable future. We encourage you to to our Live Artist opportunity as well, which will pay artists to create a work for approximately five hours live during the festival for $250. You may also to be an ambassador at the event,pensated at $24 per hour for four to eight hours. This application is open until Monday, August 17th at 11:59pm.
