Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Stipend - Light Designer (Fall Musical) (SY26-27) Chelsea Public Schools - 3.4 Chelsea, MA Job Details Part-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Lighting control system operation Entry level Full Job Description Title - Stipend - Light Designer (Fall Musical) (SY26-27) Fulfill the artistic vision for lights for the Fall play ( Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring), according to the director of the production. The light designer is expected to come to all production meetings and keep consistent communication with the director. The light designer will program all light cues and operate the board during rehearsals and shows. Lights should be fully programmed by Nov 3, 2025. The light designer will do any necessary resetting, removal, and organizing of materials on our day of strike, November 15, 2026.
