Crate Builder Whitinsville, MA Job Details Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 5 days ago Qualifications Exhibit development Wood cutting Trim carpentry Blueprint specification interpretation Power tools for woodworking Tooling design Safety standards in production Mid-level Final product assembly (woodworking) 3 years High school diploma or GED Quality standards in production Clean workspace maintenance Production records Implementing cost-saving initiatives Full Job Description The Crate Builder is responsible for crafting, assembling, and repairing exhibit booth cabinets and components. The builder is also responsible for completing work submitted through work orders according to established processes. Adherence to the quality and safety standards of the shop and surrounding areas is required. What you'll do: Confer with Lead Exhibit Builder or Project Manager regarding suggestions for changes from detail prints Work closely with the estimating and account services teams to proactively identify and implement potential cost efficiencies Construct exhibits and exhibit components Ensure that the production department is always clean and in tour condition Design and make templates, jigs, and fixtures for production exhibits and exhibit components Complete all fabrication work in a timely and efficient manner Filling out detailed production paperwork and reports Trim joints and fit parts together Prepare and apply solid surfaces Prepare and apply metal and plastic laminates Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Prepare and apply veneers Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts Perform other duties as assigned What we'd love to see: Proficiency in construction and cabinetry skills, proficient in the use of all hand and power tools At least one (1) to three (3) years' experiences with basic carpentry skills High School diploma Ability to work in a team environment as well as being accountable for individual performance; ability to work under tight deadlines, commitment to highest quality standards
