A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Job Description

Picture Framer and Design Associate wanted to join our small team at an established custom frame shop and retail art gallery in Hunt Valley. Position includes framing artwork, helping customers design framing, assisting customers with other purchases, maintaining retail and workshop spaces and managing inventory. Hourly wage will depend on experience. Experience with art or framing is preferred, but we will train.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Must be available evenings and weekends. Must enjoy interacting with people - we are here to serve our customers! Must like attention to detail. Ability to work independently is a plus. Creativity and adaptability are highly valuable traits.
