Digital Design Specialist- Denison University

Job Summary:

Assist Guest Experiences Manager in planning and executing events and promotions designed to excite and educate our guest about the Harvest Table Culinary Group dining program. The Digital Specialist should have a strong visual eye and the ability to create appealing marketing collateral to aid in promoting events and meal plan sales, while abiding by company brand promises and style.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Engages with client and guests with a positive and welcoming attitude, utilizing the WEST commitment with each interaction.
• Knows and understands Harvest Table Culinary Group's Three Pillars and Five Food Commitments.
• Escalates guest concerns to a manager when appropriate.
• Communicates and interacts in a professional manner at all times.
• Aid in the planning and execution of a full calendar of marketing events.
• Take creative lead in designing and maintaining a variety of signage, both physical and digital, around campus to promote events and encourage meal plan sales.
• Create engaging chalkboard and other artistic signage to promote sales and generate excitement for new menu items.
• Perform general office duties, such as preparing weekly reports and generating marketing proposals.
• Assist in driving revenue at multiple dining locations by planning promotions and engaging students.
• Assist Guest Experiences Manager with website design and maintenance.
• Aid in running campus dining social media platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with digital media developments.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Graphic Design, or relevant field
• Strong visual eye
• Ability to work on multiple tasks at once
• 1-2 years professional experience using any design software, such as Adobe Illustrator/ Lightroom, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Canva and Cricut.
• Calligraphy and chalk-art experience a plus
• Knowledge of website designers, such as WordPress and Squarespace
• Familiarity with a wide variety of social media platforms
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to produce a portfolio of existing work for review
• Knowledge and love of food is a plus!
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
