Job Description

Shift is Tuesday through Sunday. We are open Tuesday through Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. From March 11th until October 1st our hours change to 10 am to 6 pm. Shift hours vary. We are flexible and will work with your availability. Please email gcahill@leonardos.org to request an application or visit the front desk during normal business hours. The major function of the Guest Services team member is to fulfill the mission and core values of the organization. Leonardo's Children's Museum is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow the checklist for daily activities Follow all policies and procedures Monitor all of museum areas consistently for safety issues, maintenance, cleanliness, and guest enjoyment Work with all types of animals and bugs for feeding Interact with guests of all ages to engage in the exhibits and museum activities Assure all areas are clean and safe Learn about all exhibits and educational opportunities they offer Constantly return the exhibits to their nicest form of presentation (even during busy hours) Stay busy and active during all of shift. During slow times this includes deep cleaning of the museum Participate in employee projects, activities and attend
ALL MANDATORY
staff meetings Show respect for authority and maintain open communication with the organization flow chart Cheerfully accept the various and unusual duties assigned by supervisor Perform daily to assure the success and best interest of the organization and its mission
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age and eligible to work in the United States. Enjoy children and family play time Creativity Patience Ability to follow directions Be able to make good safety judgments Communicate effectively with all levels of the organizational flow chart Guest Service Employees will be required to stand for long periods of time. This job requires a person to work indoors and outdoors. Limited lifting up to 50 pounds is expected. Availability for all shifts is expected unless otherwise arranged with supervisor. During holidays and special events our facility requires all staff to be available to achieve our mission. This position is part time and paid hourly. There is room for advancement. After 90 days employee receives performance evaluation. Raise is possible with a positive review.
