This role is intended for individuals with outstanding technical expertise in the world of digital effects, and ideally demonstrated knowledge of techniques from figures like Dennis Muren, Paul Franklin, Joe Letteri, John Knoll, Swen Gillberg, and similar elite artists. The process begins with an introductory meeting to determine mutual compatibility and working chemistry. If aligned, select candidates may be invited to sign a non-binding letter of intent establishing them as a recurring collaborator for future productions and client projects facilitated through Oz Visions. Initial work will be project-based and contractor-oriented, with the ultimate goal of transitioning key collaborators into permanent positions as the company expands.

Experience / Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience across medium-to-large-scale commercials, music videos, or narrative productions
• Ability to oversee the VFX department from conception to delivery
• Prepared to handle a major "secondary world" high-fantasy project
• Expertise with AI pipelines and virtual productions
• Existing industry network and outreach capabilities within Austin or relevant markets, specifically but not exclusively in the VFX department
• Understanding of high-end celluloid workflows are a great perk Portfolio quality will be the primary determining factor in our evaluation process, though applicants are encouraged to include a resume along with their portfolios outlining relevant experience and previous productions.
