Scenic Designer

Operations - Virginia Beach, VA The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Operations team. We're looking for a talented Scenic Designer who will design graphics, sets and props that meet the aesthetic and functional requirements given for any T.V. film, display, or corporate event/productions. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Extensive working knowledge of drawing and drafting skills, as well as CAD drawing Working knowledge of television production including lighting, camera angles, color and design Excellent creative and design skills Experience and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Vector Works Strong oral, written and presentation skills Knowledge of construction techniques Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets to maintain a budget Strong analytical skills Knowledge of various period styles and current trends Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member Ability to define problems and generate solutions Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for 10 ft. Strong manual dexterity skills to include ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects, build and breakdown sets Ability to work a variety of shifts, weekends and overtime as required Ability to drive trucks with a valid driver's license and good driving record Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian missionaaq Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
