Full Time (Salaried or Hourly based on experience) Company and Position Overview EvoTek is transforming the construction industry through the use of precision technology including 3D scanning and advanced layout services to provide real, useable data for field teams. Our company is seeking an experienced Construction Layout/Reality Capture Specialist to support our growing reality capture and construction technology/layout services. This role is focused on executing high-quality 3D laser scanning, managing point cloud data from field to office, and supporting downstream deliverables used for construction layout, fabrication, and BIM coordination. Key Responsibilities Field Support

  • Perform 3D laser scanning on active construction sites, industrial facilities, and commercial environments.
  • Execute scanning workflows using Leica reality capture equipment.
  • Establish and verify site control in coordination with survey and layout teams.
  • Maintain scanning equipment, targets, tripods, batteries, and field documentation.
  • Coordinate site access and field activities with project teams to maintain schedule and safety requirements. Office/ Technical Support
  • Register and process point cloud data using Leica Register 360+, Cyclone and related Leica software.
  • Perform QA/QC on scan data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project control.
  • Prepare point cloud deliverables or use in Autodesk platforms.
  • Support creation of client deliverables including registered point clouds, scan reports, deviation analyses, and model ready files.
  • Assist with integrating point cloud data into Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD workflows as required by the project scope.
  • Manage data organization, file naming, and project documentation. Advancing Company Services
  • Learning and applying advanced laser scanning and registration workflows.
  • Exposure to construction layout and deviation analysis workflows.
  • Developing deviation analysis reports.
  • Helping advance research and use of new technologies including drones, robotics, AI and new systems. Qualifications Required
  • High level of competency with technology.
  • At least two (2) years of hands-on experience with laser scanning and point cloud processing.
  • Experience with Leica reality capture equipment and software (Register 360+, Cyclone 3DR) or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of field to office scanning workflows and data quality control.
  • Comfortable working independently on job sites and coordinating with project teams.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Valid driver's license. Preferred
  • Experience integrating point cloud data into Autodesk Revit.
  • Background in construction, surveying, of fabrication driven workflows.
  • Familiarity with construction layout and total station workflows.
