Full-Time About the Role Nomad Sound Systems is seeking an experienced A1 Sound Engineer to support a long-term hotel client partnership in Miami Beach. The A1 will be responsible for mixing live audio, managing signal flow, and ensuring flawless sound quality across events, live performances, and hotel programming. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, professionalism, and prior experience working within a hotel/hospitality environment. Duties Set up, operate, and tear down audio equipment (speakers, mixers, microphones, cabling) Troubleshoot audio issues during live events Maintain and care for equipment Coordinate with hotel event staff, clients, and the Nomad production team Maintain and inventory audio equipment; report damage or maintenance needs Ensure a professional, guest-facing presence at all times given the hospitality setting Adapt to varying event formats: Requirements Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience as an A1 / live sound engineer Must be based in Miami Beach or immediately surrounding area Prior experience working in a hotel or hospitality venue is required Experience with professional audio equipment (Funktion-One, d&b audiotechnik, Void Acoustics, or similar a plus) Strong troubleshooting skills under pressure Flexible schedule for event-based work, including evenings/weekends English speaker Start date: August 1stLocation:
