  • Collaborate with the production team to understand the show's audio requirements.
  • Set up and configure audio recording equipment, including microphones, mixers, and recorders.
  • Perform equipment checks to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Determine the most effective placement of microphones on cast members, ensuring clear and high-quality audio capture.
  • Adjust microphone levels to account for variations in voice volume.
  • Monitor live audio feeds during filming to detect and address any technical issues promptly.
  • Use headphones to assess the quality of the recorded audio in real-time.
  • Mix and balance audio levels between different microphones to create a cohesive and natural sound.
  • Maintain clear communication with the FP and production team regarding audio requirements and potential challenges.
  • Coordinate with other crew members to ensure a seamless integration of audio with video production.
  • Record high-quality audio tracks during filming, ensuring that all relevant audio is captured.
  • Ensure that audio recording practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Hand off audio files to PM and/or Media Manager to ensure files are dropped on to hard drives safel
  • Keep production updated on card inventory, card space, and drive space.
